Bruce Frederick Joseph Springsteen (Long Branch, Nueva Jersey, 23 de septiembre de 1949), más conocido como Bruce Springsteen, es un cantante, músico y compositor estadounidense. Apodado a menudo The Boss —en español: El jefe—, Springsteen es ampliamente conocido por su trabajo con el grupo The E Street Band y considerado uno de los artistas más exitosos de la música rock, con ventas que superan los 64,5 millones de álbumes en los Estados Unidos y más de 120 millones a nivel mundial, y un total de diez discos números uno, un registro solo superado por The Beatles y Jay-Z.

Springsteen comenzó su carrera musical a finales de la década de 1960 tocando con grupos como Steel Mill y Dr. Zoom & the Sonic Boom. En 1972 firmó un contrato discográfico con Columbia Records y publicó Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J., su primer álbum de estudio con el respaldo de The E Street Band, su principal grupo de apoyo en sucesivos trabajos. La trayectoria musical de Springsteen ha sido reconocida con varios premios, incluyendo 20 premios Grammy, dos Globos de Oro y un Óscar, y en 1999, entró en el Salón de la Fama del Rock and Roll.
